Season Five (1997/98)

  Episode: 1 (97) "Frasier's Imaginary Friend"
  Frasier returns from Acapulco after a torrid affair with a supermodel/zoologist who's sworn him to secrecy regarding her identity. He cannot resist the urge to gloat, though, and when they don't believe him, he decides to get them some solid proof.

  Episode: 2 (98) "The Gift Horse"
  On Martin's 65th birthday, Frasier and Niles compete to buy their father the best birthday present. This culminates with culminating with Niles buying Martin's old police horse and Frasier giving him a huge television.

  Episode: 3 (99) "Halloween (Part 1)"
  Everyone attends Niles' literary themed Halloween party, where everyone comes dressed as their favorite literary character, and through mix-ups and overheard conversation, it is learned that Roz may be pregnant.

  Episode: 4 (100) "The Kid (Part 2)"
  Roz decides to keep her baby. Frasier prompts her to talk with the child's father.

  Episode: 5 (101) "The 1000th Show"
  In order to celebrate Frasier's 1000th radio broadcast, KACL plan a huge public rally at the Space Needle on what will thereafter be known as "Frasier Crane Day".

  Episode: 6 (102) "Voyage Of The Damned"
  Frasier is delighted to be a handpicked celebrity on a "luxury" cruise until he discovers it's luxurious in name only. Roz, Martin and Niles are invited to come along with him. Unknown to Niles, Maris is to.

  Episode: 7 (103) "My Fair Frasier (Part 1)"
  Frasier has a relationship with a high-profile criminal defense attorney, Samantha Pierce, but feels inexplicably awkward in the relationship. When he analyses why, he realises that the normal roles have been reversed, and she is the more dominant perosn in the relationship.

  Episode: 8 (104) "Desperately Seeking Closure (Part 2)"
  When his lawyer girlfriend ends their relationship without giving a proper reason why, an insecure Frasier is convinced it is because of his own shortcomings. He then annoys his friends and family by trying to discover what they are.

  Episode: 9 (105) "Perspectives On Christmas
  Christmas 1997 doesn't go to well for the characters of "Frasier", who each tell a masseuse (Frasier's christmas present to them all) about their eventful day, which includes Martin's participation in a church Christmas pageant and Niles' experience being trapped in an elevator.

  Episode: 10 (106) "Where Every Bloke Knows Your Name"
  Frasier becomes restless in his regular routine, and realises he's been missing a Cheers-like atmosphere ever since he returned to Seattle. One night, he tags along with Daphne to her pub, The Fox and Whistle. When he starts going there more and more regularly, Daphne feels he's invading her space.

  Episode: 11 (107) "Ain't Nobody's Business If I Do
  Daphne accidentally finds an engagement ring in Martin's dresser, frightening Niles and Frasier with the spectre of "Stepmother Sherry". Niles, deciding that they really don't know much about Sherry, secretly hires a private investigator to dig into her past.

  Episode: 12 (108) "The Zoo Story"
  It's re-negotiation time at KACL again. Roz has herself a hot agent, Bebe Glazer (whom Frasier fired on advice from Roz the year before). He ignores all attempts by Bebe to woo him back, and counters by hiring a do-gooder agent (Ben) to represent him, whose ideas include naming a bird at the zoo "Frasier Crane", over Bebe.

  Episode: 13 (109) "The Maris Counselor"
  Niles and Maris' new counselor, Dr. Schenkman, advises Niles to inject some spontaneity into their relationship. Little does Niles know that Shenkman has been giving Maris some "personal" counselling sessions, so when Niles takes his advice and surprises Maris in her bedroom, he isn't quite prepared for what he finds.

  Episode: 14 (110) "The Ski Lodge"
  The Crane household and Daphne's friend Annie take a weekend trip to a ski lodge. A series of romantic misunderstandings ensues. Frasier is lusting after Annie, who is lusting after Niles, who is lusting after Daphne, who is lusting after Guy (their gay ski instructor/chef), who is lusting after Niles! However, no one seems to be lusting after Frasier...

  Episode: 15 (111) "Room Service"
  Lilith arrives in Seattle with news - she is getting divorced (her husband left her for a man). This seems to have changed her, and her new alluring, seductive side does not go unnoticed. Frasier uses all his willpower to resist, however, Niles isn't quite as strong...

  Episode: 16 (112) "Beware Of Greeks"
  The Cranes get back in touch with the greek branch of the family, when Frasier's cousin, Nikos, is getting married. First, Frasier has to sooth old wounds with Martin's sister-in-law, Aunt Zora, incurred when Frasier urged Nikos to pursue a career in juggling rather than medicine.

  Episode: 17 (113) "The Perfect Guy"
  The whole of KACL is buzzing over the incredibly attractive and talented new radio host, Dr. Clint Webber. This annoys Frasier to no end, and starts him on a quest to find a flaw - ANY flaw - in the man. Meanwhile, Martin is thrown out of, and banned from, the only store in Seattle selling Eddie's favourite dog food.

  Episode: 18 (114) "Bad Dog"
  Bulldog is falsely hailed as a hero after foiling a robbery attempt at Café Nervosa. Only Frasier knows what really happened and the adulation heaped on Bulldog eats him up inside. When it is announced that Bulldog is to be named Man Of The Year at the annual SeaBea Awards, Frasier painstakingly tries to convince Bulldog that he has a guilty conscience, and that it shall prevail. Niles is also up for a SeaBea for a broadcast as a guest he did.

  Episode: 19 (115) "Frasier Gotta Have It"
  Frasier meets a young and beautiful woman, which leads to instant attraction and a very physical relationship between the two. When Niles questions him about the relationship, he realises the attraction is purely physical and they have nothing in common.

  Episode: 20 (116) "First Date"
  Niles finally decides to ask Daphne out to dinner, but when the moment comes, he can't quite get up the nerve.

  Episode: 21 (117) "Roz And The Schnoz"
  Roz is horrified to learn that Rick (the father of her child)'s family has a history of large noses. Meanwhile, Frasier gives Daphe a present for five years of friendship and working for them.

  Episode: 22 (118) "The Life Of The Party"
  Tired of struggling to find dates, Frasier and Niles host a singles party. "Miss Right" shows up, however, she is "Miss Right" for both Niles and Frasier, and they fight over her. The party with Roz giving birth.

  Episode: 23 (119) "Party, Party"
  It's another raucous night for Frasier, as he needs to be in three places at once; a surprise birthday party, a Safari Club initiation meeting, and a date with a potential soul mate.

  Episode: 24 (120) "Sweet Dreams (Part 1)"
  On Frasier's suggestion, Daphne and Frasier participate in a protest to save a landmark Seattle book shop, but when the threat of being arrested arises, he chickens out and goes home. Feeling weak, undaring and "middle-aged", he makes a stand by refusing to comply when the new station manager mandates that on-air talent must read commercials during their programs. He leads his forces to "The Black Tower" to protest, reckoning that the might of the on-air talent will force management to accede to their demands.
